Pretoria High court dismisses Mthunzi Mdwaba’s application against Thulas Nxesi

Controversial businessman, Mthunzi Mdwaba, has been dealt another legal blow. On Friday the High Court in Pretoria dismissed his application against Labour Minister, Thulas Nxesi.
The businessman had requested documents but the application was struck from the court roll a short while ago. The court is also hearing an urgent application brought by Nxesi to stop the R5 billion payment to Mdwaba’s company, Thuje Holdings.
It comes after Mdwaba accused Nxesi and other high-profile politicians of trying to solicit a bribe. Last week, the High Court in Johannesburg ruled that Mdwaba’s allegations against Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana were without substance and unlawful.
