President Ramaphosa vows to address economic, social issues faced by veterans

President Cyril Ramaphosa is promising to address economic and social issues faced by liberation struggle and military veterans.

The President appointed a high-level task team to deal with veterans’ concerns in November.

He held a series of meetings with veterans and though most issues have been resolved, more meetings are scheduled for early next year.

Ramaphosa says any country that does not honour the heroes of its past for their sacrifices for freedom is a country with no future.
