President Cyril Ramaphosa advised not to suspend EC Judge President Mbenenge

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has decided to advise President Cyril Ramaphosa that it is not advisable that he suspend Eastern Cape Judge President Selby Mbenenge.
This as Mbenenge is on special leave pending the outcome of the tribunal and in this period is required to finalise all partly heard matters.
This comes after the JSC invited the parties to make submissions whether or not the JSC should advise the President in terms of section 177 (3) of the Constitution to suspend the Judge President pending a probe against him.
The top judge of the Eastern Cape Division is facing allegations of sexual harassment in a complaint which has been referred to the Judicial Conduct Tribunal for further inquiry.
This will be the first time a complaint of this nature will be seen at the tribunal, a body which looks at impeachable conduct.
