Coronavirus in SA: All eyes on President Cyril Ramaphosa’s family meeting

All eyes are on President Cyril Ramaphosa as he’s expected to address the country this evening.
Ramaphosa held a consultation with the National Coronavirus Command Council this weekend.
Last week the country officially entered the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. South Africa’s total cases now stand at almost 861,000. One-hundred and seventy more people have died from the virus.

Cumulative deaths are at just over 23,000. More than 761,000 people have recovered and nearly 6-million tests have been conducted.
