Fake News Alert – Picture of presentation about lockdown lasting till 11 May is fake, police warn

The police have again cautioned the public to be wary of sharing unverified information about the coronavirus epidemic in SA. A photo that was shared like wildfire on WhatsApp on Thursday suggested that a hard lockdown was likely to remain in place until 11 May.

Although it looked quite convincing, the SA Police Service made it clear that it was fake news and people sharing it could be liable for prosecution.

This must be a huge blow for the viewers as one of the most-watched TV dramas in Mzansi, The Queen will be coming to an end after running out of the episodes allegedly due to the national lockdown.
