Jacob Zuma supporters to converge for prayer meeting in his honour

Jacob Zuma supporters are expected to converge on the People’s Park in Durban on Thursday for a prayer meeting in his honour.

The Jacob Zuma Foundation says the event will celebrate his release from prison.

Zuma is currently on medical parole.

He was serving time in prison for refusing to appear before the State Capture Commission of Inquiry.

Shortly after entering the prison in Estcourt in July, he was sent to the hospital for medical treatment.

The former president has remained out of the spotlight for much of the time since his parole.

Earlier this month, the foundation released a video recording in which Zuma endorsed the ANC for the local government elections.
