Prasa power won’t be cut off, for now: spokesperson

Passenger trains won’t be disrupted in the Western Cape despite a multi-million rand debt owed to Eskom.

The power utility had threatened to cut electricity supply which would have had a direct impact on commuters.

Prasa spokesperson, Makhosini Mgitywa said the passenger rail agency has received a guarantee that Eskom will not cut electricity supply for now. The City of Cape Town claims it is owed R63-million by Prasa
