Prasa board denies dodgy deal

The Prasa board denies that Group CEO Nkosinathi Sishi has signed or entered into any agreements without its knowledge.

The board says it respects and abides by the Public Finance Management Act regulations and the Constitution.

The Daily Maverick says that Sishi is on the verge of signing a questionable multi-billion rand deal. According to the report, the agreement defies all of Prasa’s governance statutes.

It will allegedly expose the SOE to almost R5-billion in unauthorised and irregular expenditure.

Investigative journalist Sikhonathi Mantshantsha said Sishi decided to outsource all of the investment projects to the Development Bank of Southern Africa. This looks like a secretive decision,” said Mantshantsha.
