PPE Tenders: Contracts worth R13.3bn to be investigated

The Special Investigating Unit (SIU) says R13.3 billion worth of government Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) expenditure is subject to investigation. SIU head ADV. Andy Mothibi says 26-percent of the entire investigation is finalised.
Mothibi also says political pressure is just one of the reasons that played a role in the awarding of PPE tenders.
Some companies were decided upon even before the supply chain management process started.
