Ramokgopa: Warmer temperatures causing partial losses at some power stations

Electricity Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa says the warmer temperatures are making it difficult for some generating units to perform optimally.

Ramokgopa says this has resulted in load losses totaling nearly 6,000 megawatts over the past few days.

He says the Matimba power station is one of the most affected.

Ramokgopa was speaking during his weekly grid update on Sunday.
