Champions Power Dynamos were held to a 1-1 draw by FC MUZA in the MTN Super League on Saturday, with the gap between the top seven teams in the league now just a single point. Joshua Mutale put Dynamos into a lead midway through the first half, but Emmanuel Manda equalised 10 minutes from the break.
MUZA are now one of four sides on 22 points at the top of the table, but have played a game more than their rivals. Dynamos are a point further back. The match between Nkwazi and bottom side Trident had to be suspended due to heavy rains and will continue at 10h00 on Sunday. Fred Mwiche had given Trident a shock early lead but Stephen Mutama equalised for Nkwazi before the rains came.
A penalty from Charles Zulu on the half-hour mark gave ZANACO a 1-0 victory at early-season pacesetters Kabwe Warriors, who have now lost three games in a row, but remain in fifth.
Freddy Michael scored a brace and Derrick Bulaya got a late third as Green Eagles thumped NAPSA Stars 3-0 as their run of five games without defeat continued. David Obashi and Chongo Mulenga were on target for Prison Leopards as they beat high-flyers Mufulira Wanderers 2-0 to move out of the relegation zone. It was just their third victory in 13 games this season.
Finally, Konkola Blades and Forest5 Rangers played to a 1-1 draw. Christian Mpoyi put Blades in front, before Quadri Kola equalised six minutes into the second half.
