Joburg residents still in the dark over power cut schedule

Eskom has implemented Stage 6 blackouts.

But most Joburgers don’t know when it will hit them.

This has been the case since City Power took over power cut schedules.

DA councillors say frustrated residents are turning to them for answers which they don’t always have.

“It’s been a very intense period. We were happy when City Power said they were taking over load-shedding and expected teething issues, but we weren’t ready for the chaos that ensued,” said councillor Nicole van Dyk.
