Somizi and Mohale Postpones Wedding?

Somizi and Mohale have become one of our favourite celebrity couples. The media personalities got engaged in 2017 and since then, fans have been waiting for their big day.

In early 2019, Sunday Sun reported that their wedding is going to be an extravaganza. The paper went on to say that the wedding will be held at four venues and that the main ceremony will take place at the Mandela Bridge during the Easter weekend in April.

Sunday Sun is now changing its tune, according to an article published in this week’s newspaper, the pair has reportedly postponed their wedding due to a lack of funding.

Speaking to the paper, a source allegedly said, “The wedding has been moved to a future date because of the costs involved in pulling off a well-orchestrated spectacle of this size.”

Since getting engaged to Somizi, Mohale has bagged his first acting gig on MTV’s Shuga, his character is set to highlight critical social issues faced by Africa’s youth. Social issues such as transactional sex, physical abuse and HIV prevention will be guided and brought to attention by his role.

“As an openly-gay man, I’m fortunate to have the support of my family and my fiancé, Somizi, but not all South African youth, especially those growing up in conservative and traditional households, experience the same level of acceptance. That’s why programmes like MTV Shuga play such a crucial role in informing the youth and helping them realise they are not alone,” said Mohale in an official statement.
