Post-mortems have been completed on nearly 400 of the flood victim bodies

The Health Department says the Pathology Forensic Team has finished post-mortems on 377 of the 455 bodies recovered after the floods in KwaZulu-Natal and hopes to complete post-mortems of 50 bodies on Wednesday.
Premier Sihle Zikalala on Tuesday said at least 448 people had died in the floods.
The Health Ministry also says in a statement that it is estimated that the cost to repair damaged medical infrastructure in the province will be around R187 million.
The provincial Health Department has provided a similar estimate. It says the Ministry has constituted a Health team from the National and Provincial departments to conduct an assessment of the impact of the floods on health service delivery in KwaZulu-Natal.
