Government to look into poor state of hospitals

The Health Department will look into allegations of poor conditions at public hospitals.

It follows an open letter from a paediatrician at Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital.

Tim de Maayer said the state of hospitals is leading to a surge of child deaths.

Deputy Health Minister, Sibongiseni Dhlomo says the letter is worrying and will be looked into.
