Police warn social media users against misinformation

Gauteng police are warning people against spreading misinformation relating to gang violence on social media.

It comes after posts that about 13 people were killed in gang violence incidents this week.

But, this is far from the truth.

The facts are that only three cases of murder were reported this week.

They took place in Westbury in Johannesburg.

There were no incidents reported in Eldorado Park, Riverlea and Noordgesig as claimed on social media.
