Shock as Police uncover factory repackaging used Condoms

Vietnam police have busted one of the weirdest and dangerous scams in their manufacturing sector after they discovered a packaging business involved in collecting, washing, and repackaging used condoms.

Data provided by the authorities revealed over 300 000 condoms were found recycled at the factory ready to be shipped back into the market.

The business was located in DX12, Hoa Nhut Quarter, Tan Vinh Hiep Ward, Binh Duong Province, located in southern Vietnam and it seemed to have been operating for over a year.

The condoms were not yet labelled when the police seized them.

The owner of the factory Pham Thi Thanh Ngoc said she had received a consignment of used condoms from an unnamed person. The condoms were washed, dried, and reshaped with a dildo before being packaged.

500-600 million condoms are used in Vietnam according to the official statistics agency.

Using condoms from dubious manufacturing sources poses a huge threat to human health, including severe infection.

A few years ago, the Centers For Disease Control And Prevention advised Americans against the habit of used condoms by washing them. They said they had to warm people against it because it was a habit that was actually happening among South Africans.

According to the Daily Mail, The health authorities said the habit could increase the rate of infections because of its ‘false sense of protection as a used condom has a greater chance of being damaged during the act than a new one. Also warned that used condoms could carry diseases that are not removed by washing only.
