Diepsloot residents march to police station

Diepsloot residents took to the streets in protest on Wednesday.

This is after Police Minister Bheki Cele promised to tackle crime in the area.

Residents met on Wednesday to discuss a plan of action that led them to taking to the streets.

Residents say the Minister’s assurances are not enough and say they want to see President Cyril Ramaphosa.

They say that the president must experience the crime situation first-hand.
