“JOHN WICK”: Police speak out

The police have called on “John Wick” to hand himself over at the nearest police station.
This after a man, believed to be the leader of a terror gang called Boko Haram in Mamelodi, Tshwane, was allegedly killed by a person residents have nicknamed “John Wick”.
The call was made by Gauteng police commissioner General Elias Mawela during Operation O Kae Molao in Pennyville, Soweto, on Thursday, 28 October.
Said Mawela: “We will get him. It will help him if he contacts us or comes to the police station and says here I am. We will help him.
“We don’t want to reveal his name because he is not yet charged. He must just hand himself in.”
Mawela said that cops were doing everything to fight crime in Mamelodi.
“Since we have established combat teams, we only had two incidents.”.
He said the incident where the suspected Boko Haram gang leader was killed didn’t happen in Mamelodi.
On the shooting spree that took place in Kagiso, Mawela said: “Thus far, we haven’t arrested anyone, but detectives are hard at work.
“We are excited about how the community is coming forward to give information. We will track down those people,” he said.
Meanwhile, O Kae Molao operation yielded results as several arrests were made.
Arrests were made at the roadblock and fines issued to motorists driving with expired licence discs.
One person was arrested after he was found with a lot of bank cards and a speed point which he couldn’t explain.
