Police Minister Bheki Cele denies involvement in Teffo arrest

Police Minister Bheki Cele says he has nothing to do with the arrest of Advocate Malesela Teffo. Teffo is representing four of the five men accused of murdering Senzo Meyiwa. He was arrested in court on Thursday. Teffo claims his arrest was orchestrated by Cele to get him off the case.

The police minister says he was only informed of the arrest after it happened. Meanwhile, Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola said he wants a report on Teffo’s arrest.

Masemola has now tasked Gauteng Police Commissioner Elias Mawela with compiling a report.
