Police investigating attacks on Golden Arrow buses

The Western Cape government says they know who is behind Thursday’s attacks on several Golden Arrow buses in Cape Town. They say the attacks are retaliation for impounded vehicles without proper permits.

Western Cape MEC for Mobility Daylin Mitchell says the city will not be held to ransom because a few people will not obey the law.

Meanwhile, Golden Arrow buses will not operate in Nyanga and Phillipi until their safety is guaranteed. Golden Arrow spokesperson Bronwen Dyke-Beyer said they’re working with the police to ensure their buses are safe. Police are investigating.
