Police confiscate illegal liquor worth R600 000 in Langa

Police have arrested a suspect and confiscated illegal liquor valued at around R600 000 in Langa on the Cape Flats. Provincial police spokesperson F.C. van Wyk says officers executed a search warrant at a liquor outlet.

Van Wyk says on September 9th, police seized several unlawful and illegitimate alcohol brands including vodka, whiskey and VO Brandy.

“The confiscated liquor is worth an estimated street value of approximately R600 000. A 39-year-old foreign national was arrested and detained at Langa Police and will appear in Goodwood Magistrates court once charged.
