Position Synopsis:
Our client is looking for a Pharmacist Assistant who will be responsible for assisting with managing and improving medicine supply management at health facilities.
N.B. The following are MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS:
Certification as a Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant.
Current registration with The South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).
Promotes and implements the principles of medicine supply management.
Manage medicine supply at primary health care level.
Perform National Core Standards and Good Pharmacy Practice assessments in various facilities.
Ensure control and safe storage of medicines, pharmaceuticals and equipment are managed within the pharmacy.
Provide training and mentorship to nursing staff.
Assist with the implementation of quality improvement programmes. Assist with collection, collation and interpretation of data.
Manage all pharmaceutical data and ensure updated information is readily available.
Ensure all tasks are seen through to completion and perform supervisory duties pertaining to the medicine supplies.
Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team with diverse backgrounds and communicate with the relevant stakeholders about information relating to medicines supplied.

Candidate Requirements:
Matric.
Certification as a Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant.
Current registration with The South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).
Code EB (08) Drivers licence and own transport.
Knowledge of good clinical practice (GCP).
Good Clinical Knowledge in the field of HIV/Aids.
