ATM in court over Phala Phala secret vote

The African Transformation Movement will return to the Western Cape High Court over the Phala Phala report.

The party is not happy with the way Parliament Speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula handled the matter.

She rejected a request to hold a secret ballot vote on the Section 89 report.

ATM wants the court to strike down the decision.

President Cyril Ramaphosa was spared an impeachment inquiry when MPs voted to reject the report.

This was despite five ANC members breaking ranks and voting to adopt the document.

The matter has been set down for two days.
