Phala Phala report to be handed over on Wednesday

The Section 89 panel report into President Cyril Ramaphosa’s management of the Phala Phala farm scandal will be ready on Wednesday.

The independent panel was established to determine whether or not the president’s conduct warrants his impeachment.

Panel chair Retired Chief Justice Sandile Ngcobo is set to hand the report to the speaker of the National Assembly, Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula, on Wednesday.

The report was due two weeks ago, but a last-minute extension was granted.

MPs are to discuss its recommendations on 6 December.
