Western Cape Premier Alan Winde has welcomed finance minister Enoch Godongwana’s decision to overturn Eskom’s exemption from reporting irregular expenditure.
The utility would have been exempted from reporting irregular expenditures for three years.
“My words are sanity prevailed. I think it is exactly the right decision to withdraw this,” he said.
