Motorists can expect a record price hike in fuel next week. That’s according to estimates from the Automobile Association.
Petrol is set for a massive increase of 73 cents a litre, diesel may see a 39 cents jump, and paraffin up by 37 cents. But that is before additional April fuel levies kick in.
When one factor in the levies, petrol could rise by as much as R1 a litre and diesel by 66 cents a litre. The higher international price of oil is the main reason behind the hike.
