Peter Moyo files urgent application to stop Old Mutual from appointing a new CEO

Old Mutual has confirmed it has received an urgent application interdicting it from hiring a permanent CEO. Former Old Mutual CEO Peter Moyo filed the application on Friday.

It will be heard on the 10th of March. Last month, the South Gauteng High Court upheld Old Mutual’s appeal against temporarily reinstating Moyo.

The legal wrangle between Moyo and the financial services company started in May 2019 when he was suspended and later dismissed, following a relationship breakdown.
