MPs vote for permanent removal of Busisiwe Mkhwebane

Parliament voted by an overwhelming majority to remove Advocate Busisiwe Mkhwebane from the office of the Public Protector.

The votes achieved the required two-thirds majority with 318 votes for her removal and 43 against while one MP abstained.

The vote came after a Section 194 Committee found her guilty of misconduct and incompetence.
