Western Cape taxi chaos: Taxi owners accused of peddling misinformation

The City of Cape Town is accusing taxi owners of peddling misinformation over the strike.
It says it’s not targeting taxis and is merely implementing the National Land Transport Act.
He says the law focuses on traffic violations by public transport vehicles.
Thousands of taxis have been impounded since the beginning of the year.
In retaliation, operators have hit the brakes on services in the province.
