Family of patient abandoned by paramedics demand justice

The South African Human Rights Commission says the conduct of paramedics who allegedly abandoned a patient is concerning.

The Sikhosana family claims that they had to call neighbours for assistance when two paramedics refused to walk up a flight of stairs to assist their loved one.

38-year-old Thembeka Sikhosana died in hospital on Thursday, almost two weeks after she was abandoned.
