DA terminates Nkele Molapo’s party membership
Gauteng MPL (member in provincial legislatures), Nkele Molapo is out of the Democratic Alliance. The DA says she leaked confidential information to the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF).
This had been a three-year-long battle.
Molapo was accused in 2017 of giving information from the DA Tshwane government to the EFF.
The DA says this has led to instability in its caucus, government, and the City of Tshwane.
Meanwhile, Molapo accused former mayor, Solly Msimanga of s.e.xual harassment.
The DA says Msimanga considers this a smear campaign and pre-emption of the finding against Molapo.
He has opened a counterclaim against Molapo of crimen injuria.
