Parliament approves COVID-19 tax relief bills

Parliament has approved two COVID-19 tax relief bills. The Disaster Management Tax Relief and Tax Administration Bills were introduced by Finance Minister Tito Mboweni in June.

It’s aimed at assisting South Africans and businesses to deal with the economic fallout from the coronavirus pandemic and national lockdown.

The bills will be sent to the National Council of Provinces for concurrence.
