Stop obsessing over hair, says Panyaza Lesufi

Stop obsessing over children’s hair. That’s the advice from Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi.

This as parents and pupils demonstrated amid racial allegations at the Cornwall Hill College in Irene.

Lesufi says policies at the school need to be reviewed.

“My discussion with them was very clear, go back to the negotiation table, resolve all outstanding problems and ensure everyone is welcomed in this school,” Lesufi said.

“But one thing that is very clear and what I want to emphasize to the leadership of this school — stop this obsession with the hair of our children.

“We are all human beings and all of us deserve to be happy.”
