Over 2,000 new COVID-19 cases reported in SA

More than 2,000 new COVID-19 cases have been recorded, bringing the total number of infections to 767,679. The Department of Health also reported 58 more COVID-19 deaths.

The COVID-19 death toll in South Africa is at 20,903. Of the 58 deaths, 28 are from the Eastern Cape, 13 from the Free State, eight from the Gauteng, and nine from the Western Cape.

Recoveries in SA are at 710,099. The recovery rate now stands at 92.5-percent.
