Gauteng premier David Makhura wants to work with Operation Dudula

Gauteng premier David Makhura says he wants to work with Operation Dudula and other civic groups concerned about illegal immigration. But he says reserving jobs for South Africans first is not feasible.
Makhura has weighed in on South Africa’s porous borders which he says need to be tightened while remaining sympathetic to the plight of refugees.

“We want to work with organised civil society like Operation Dudula. We want to work with them and work with the law enforcement agencies.
