Gauteng: At 06H26 Friday morning, Netcare 911 responded to a collision on the N14 and R28 Intersection in Pinehaven, on the West Rand.
Reports indicate that two heavy motor vehicles and two light motor vehicles were involved in a collision.
It was alleged that a truck lost control down a steep road, coming from Krugersdorp, crashing into multiple vehicles.
When medics arrived on the scene, they found that one person, an adult male, was trapped in the front cab of one of the trucks.
Another patient, an adult male, was found trapped inside a car. Multiple other patients were found across the scene.
All the patients were treated on scene by advanced life support paramedics, while fire and rescue services used hydraulic tools to free the two trapped patients.
Sadly, one of the patients showed no signs of life and was declared deceased on the scene. Two other patients were airlifted to the hospital by Netcare 911 helicopter.
Once treated and stabilised, the two other patients were transported by ground ambulance to the hospital for further care.

A prophet who allegedly refused to assist clients who sought his services for their ailing relative was left counting his losses after his homestead was set on fire for allegedly refusing to assist them.
While Prophet Paulos Ngwenya (73) was at his homestead with his family three males who are believed to be in their thirties arrived at his homestead in Madlambuzi area in Plumtree, Matabeleland South province and sought his help.
An insider said:”They told Ngwenya that their mother has been ailing for quite some time and they were directed to him by people he assisted. But Ngwenya refused to assist them as he was not feeling well on that particular day.” Read More
