Eskom has dismissed its Chief Procurement Officer, Solly Tshitangano with immediate effect.
Tshitangano was suspended in February following allegations of poor performance.
He has since then been found guilty of non-performance, breaching his duties and gross misconduct relating to Econ Oil’s relationship with Eskom.
Tshitangano is charged with numerous counts, including contravening the Public Finance Management Act.
He was also found guilty of violating Eskom’s Disciplinary Code, by disclosing confidential information about the company to third parties.
