Nuz Queen – I am being sidelined in Showbiz

CONTROVERSIAL Durban gqom artist Nuz Queen claims she’s being sidelined in showbiz.

She said the music industry in Durban isolates her because she refuses to be a groupie. Nuz Queen is bothered that event organisers don’t book her. “I heard one of the artists say they’re sidelining me because I’m not humbling myself.

“What must I humble myself for? To be used or abused by these artists who think they’re gods just because they’ve made it? No! I refuse to do that. “If a person thinks I’m not humble, I don’t care, they can sideline me. I refuse to be a groupie,” said Nuz Queen.

Last year, Nuz Queen made headlines when she was accused by Ed Harris of stealing the hit song, Idimoni. She went as far as threatening to beat up the award-winning Busiswa.

She told Sunday Sun she waited for lawsuits from those who claimed she stole their song. “I waited and waited but nothing came up. All they did was drag my name through the mud,” she said. “I’m a talented artist. I love my job and hate taking credit for someone else’s work. “I never met Busiswa after I told her I was going to beat her up. “But when we meet, I’m not going to beat her up anymore. I forgave her because I wanted to move on with my life.”

Last month, Nuz Queen released an Afro-house single titled Ngibeke. “I worked with up-and-coming artists to empower them.”
