NSRI urges caution around water bodies as snow melts
The National Sea Rescue Institute is calling for caution around water bodies, amid extreme weather conditions.
The institute warns that, despite signs of improvement, stormy seas and swollen rivers are expected as the snow melts.
Members of the public are urged to follow the South African Weather Service updates and adhere to weather warnings.
The NSRI’s warning comes after heavy snowfall left thousands stranded last weekend.
