Nqaba Bhanga re-elected mayor of NMB municipality
The DA’s Nqaba Bhanga was re-elected mayor of the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality in the Eastern Cape. The municipality’s speaker, Buyelwa Mafaya, made the announcement on Thursday.
Bhanga was elected mayor in December, but the Eastern Cape Cooperative Governance Minister declared this invalid.
The two landed up in court. The metro is being run as a coalition government between the DA, UDM, Cope, UF and AIC parties.
