North West municipalities are calling for a resolution to the province’s water supply issues.
Municipalities such as Mahikeng and Ngaka Modiri Molema were hard hit by water shortages on Sunday.
North West premier Bushy Maape together with the MEC for Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements, and Traditional Affairs Lena Miga, and municipal officials have met on Monday.
Maape apologised for the inconvenience caused to residents for the interruption of water services.
“This is something that we are not proud of,” he said.
Maape said a provincial war room has been created to address the immediate issues affecting residents.
