North Korea President officially banns skinny jeans. Kim Jong-un reportedly adhered to a call from a worker’s union to ban skinny jeans, mullets, and certain body piercings in the country. Supreme leader of North Korea Kim Jong-un has officially banned skinny jeans in his country as part of efforts to stop capitalists’ lifestyle.

Trends such as skinny jeans were viewed as a threat to the socialist movement and deemed as part of a “capitalistic lifestyle.” According to the Guardian, the communist regime has reportedly outlawed all but 15 hairstyles that will be considered “non-socialist” and has issued an order on “proper” hairstyles.

Aside from skinny jeans and restricted hairstyles, branded T-shirts, lip and nose piercings are also banned. Also, an order on “proper” hairstyles has put a ban on mullets, spikey hair, and dyed hair.
