Police Minister to meet with Nongoma councillors over political killings
Police Minister Bheki Cele will meet Nongoma councillors about political killings.
The area has been identified as a hotspot for attacks.
The visit follows a meeting of the inter-ministerial committee seized with the issue.
It says over 300 cases have been investigated since 2018.
Nineteen councillors have been killed in KwaZulu-Natal since September last year.
The latest victim is Mabhungu Mkhize, an ANC councillor in Msunduzi, who was killed last month.
Just a month before, NFP councillor Ntombenhle Mchunu was killed at home in Nongoma.
