Actress Nolo Phiri has praised her co-star on a local movie, Losing Lerato, Kagiso Modupe for paying the movie’s cast and crew royalties. The star took to social media to express her gratitude to Kagiso and the movie’s production company, Bakwena Productions.
Nolo shared in part; “In an industry that’s full of uncertainty and injustice; we have been blessed to work on a production that knows and understands Artists’ rights and needs. Thank you #BakwenaProductions #KagisoModupe #LosingLerato for paying royalties to all Actors and Crew. You ARE the change we want to see in this industry.
This comes in the midst of actors calling on the government to amend the existing Performers Protection Act.
