No soldiers deployed in Diepsloot: SANDF

The South African National Defence Force says no troops have been deployed to crime-ridden Diepsloot.
Residents there have reported seeing soldiers in the area at certain times of the night.

The community has been protesting for months now over the area’s high crime levels.
They are calling for more police deployment, and for President Cyril Ramaphosa to visit the area.
