Government plans to prevent NMB Day Zero

The government says it has plans to ensure day zero does not hit Nelson Mandela Bay.

But despite reassurances, residents are still concerned.

Water and Sanitation Minister, Senzo Mchunu, says there are interventions in place to delay taps from running dry.

He says the main intervention would be repairing the six-thousand leaks they have recorded.

Mchunu visited the area for a first-hand look at the water crisis there.
