Health Minister Dr Joe Phaahla has welcomed Parliament’s decision to approve the National Health Insurance Bill.
Phaahla has hailed the adoption of the bill as a major milestone in South African healthcare.
The NHI has been met with a lot of resistance from opposition parties and civil society groups.
However, the Health Minister insists it will bring much-needed reform to the country’s healthcare system.
