Simphiwe Ngema on her happily ever after

Simphiwe ‘Simz’ Ngema’s healing process has been documented ever since the tragic passing of her husband, Dumi Masilela. The actor died in an attempted hijacking.

It’s now been over a year and his wife has shifted the focus to the legacy that he left behind and her work on the small screen.

To say that picking up the pieces after a loved one passes away is not easy would be an understatement; Simphiwe has admitted that she hit rock bottom after Dumi’s passing.

She’s done her best to keep his memory alive through the music he left behind, and is now ready to begin a new chapter – creating a new happily ever after through her new found love, music.

She recently shared on Instagram:
“What most people don’t get is that when I lost my husband, I hit rock bottom. For me, at least, that was my rock bottom. I completely lost who I was and that was painful. I was a person that believed in a happily ever after and I believed that, that happily ever after would be given to me by Dumi. Now I’m a person that still believes in a happily ever after, but I believe that you create your own happily ever after.
Speaking on her next venture into the music industry, Simz added:
“This next chapter is an introduction of the person that I’m becoming, a person that had to understands that everything is created by God, and everything is controlled by God.”

Here’s a sneak peek into what the actress and singer has been cooking up in the studio thus far:
