This is my New Year’s Message to Mzansi – President Cyril Ramaphosa

President Cyril Ramaphosa says they are working hard to end the crisis of blackouts. In his address to usher in the New Year, Ramaphosa says an increase in the amount of renewable energy on the grid will steadily reduce the need for power cuts.

The president also says there have been significant strides in the fight against corruption, poverty and inequality, as well as the country’s other challenges of unemployment, crime and gender-based violence.

DJ and producer Mthokozisi Khathi, professionally known as DJ Tira is the latest celebrity to venture into the alcohol industry. He announced via social media that he has his own cider called Bearings Cyder.

He joins other celebrities who have taken advantage of the booming alcohol business such as The Beast, Prince Kaybee, and Mbalenhle Mavimbela who entered the wine business this year. Learn more
